Connectors are available in both high and low temperature ranges. The high temperature range is designed specifically for high ambient temperature environments, such as those found in vehicle engine compartments. This range can operate up to 200°C and is signified by a blue heat resistant insulator. The low temperature is signified by a black insulator and can operate in environments up to a maximum of 100°C. Engineering Connections recommend keeping the brass components in a sealed container ( ie plastic bag ) in a clean, dry environment, when stored for long periods before use. See Storing of Connectors in PDF format Engineering Connections are continually improving these products, based on customer feedback. We therefore reserve the right to implement improvements to achieve customer satisfaction whilst keeping all assemblies interchangeable.
